Default Syrian toys?

I have tonnes of toys for Joey my Robo, but I really struggle finding things suitable for my Syrian, Bambi.

I can't be the only one who has this problem?!

He lives in a Maxi Duna so that makes things trickier also as all his toys have to be freestanding.

Any suggestions please?!

Finding toys that are large enough for Syrians is so difficult! I have given up on the cute decorative toys with Syrians as none of mine have ever been able to fit in them. However, I've found that cork bark/tunnels, grass tunnels, driftwood, and grapevine all make better hides for Syrians. Besides that, I've also found rat toys to work well with my Syrians. It would be nice for a company to design some items that are actually appropriately sized for a Syrian

Thanks Drago, yes there is definitely a gap in the market for good Syrian sized toys!

I've found the same, that the only decent toys are various kinds of tunnels - Bambi has got a grass-tunnel, a big guinea-pig sized cardboard tunnel and a plastic tunnel meant for rats but I'd love to find something he can actually use for climbing (he never got the memo that Syrians aren't really meant to be climbers!) - pieces of driftwood might work, will have to look into that.

He's got a Sputnik but because of the height of his cage and no levels, I can't use it attached to the tops bars - so it just sits on the base of the cage instead, so just makes a hide more than a toy really.

For climbing, have you tried Popsicle/lolli stick or poplar dowel platforms? I've seen some really nice ones and they can be fairly sturdy if you design them right My friend has a Syrian who loves to climb and she built several platforms out of them and her ham absolutely loved it! Here's an example (I think someone posted this on HC a while back, but I couldn't find the original post so here's the Pinterest one)

If you're DIY savvy, you may be able to make something like this

I tend to go for rat toys, they're bigger. Some of the toys that are made for syrians are just too small, I find that in P@H.

As other suggested, rat toys sometimes are suitable for syrians. Sometimes you can use bird toys too (mainly as chews)

I would recommend you to take a look at seesaws, rattles and balls. If you want you can take a look at my post here Blacky's Thread - The Black Spanish Syrian Hamster where I show the different things that I recently bought for my syrian, maybe that could give you some ideas too.
