Skyline Ranch Arizona Playpen
Wondering if anyone has seen or used one of these for their hamster? Not looking to get one personally but it seems like it could be a good playpen option:

Re: Skyline Ranch Arizona Playpen
I have one for my dwarf hamsters Ruby. I know I could probably have made one for cheaper but I thought I'd try this one for an alternative to the wire one and the really useful boxes that I have. Boris loves running around on the landing (no cables or anything dangerous for him) but the minute he sees a closed door he wants to know what's on the other side and the more you try and stop him the more interested and determined he gets. With the ranch I don't need to worry about him trying to chew holes in my doors! It's a good height as well and it goes together and comes apart quite easily (although he's out in it every day sometimes more than once so it's become a permanent fixture on the landing!). I don't know that it would be better than a DIY one where you have the flexibility on size and they look easy to fold up, probably cheaper too.

Re: Skyline Ranch Arizona Playpen
I think they look great! Should be tall enough for a Syrian as long as there are no toys near the edges Although no doubt they will try lol. Actually I don't think the price is that bad - it cost me about the same to buy the correx /coroplast to make my playpen. It's 30 cm high and I can't see a Syrian getting over that - unless they did a pole vault from a tall toy nearby lol.

Re: Skyline Ranch Arizona Playpen
I think it looks amazing. I wish I hadn't spent my money in a ridiculous trixie playpen and that I had get that instead. I don't think it's too expensive either. Mine cost 18 euros and it's rubbish.

Re: Skyline Ranch Arizona Playpen
Looks wonderful! I think I will be purchasing one for Larry-Jasper's birthday. If you built a lid and permanently blocked the doors, could it work as a cage? I think this would also be excellent for guinea pig owners if the piggies free-ranged during the day and had it as a sleeping place/retreat.

Re: Skyline Ranch Arizona Playpen
Rather than start a whole new thread, sharing a pic of my Arizona Ranch that arrived from Zooplus today, yay! It's all set up, I just need Percy hamster to wake up.

Re: Skyline Ranch Arizona Playpen
Excellent! I have one too and love it. They're bigger than they look on photos I think I would recommend putting something on the floor for it to stand on, as our hammy chewed the carpet in the corners of the playpen (all four of them!).
I don't think it would work with a roof on top - the sides curve up at the top so it doesn't have flat edges round the top.
Has Percy woken up yet lol?
