The extendable tube going from the Sputnik is good, but instead of having the end go to the cage roof. It would be better going to the top of the house.
Once you watch your hamster explore. You may need to adjust things slightly, depending on if he is having problems getting from place to place.

i brought humphreys off zooplus he loves it its bigger than i thought and takes loads of room but he likes it

I feel really lucky to have found a new second hand cage on gumtree. It seems huge (see photo flip flops size 6) and came with a huge wheel and various bits. Twenty quid. So I looked it up and it's by Marchioro and designed for rats. Now I've got to set it all up for a Syrian hammy and then start looking for a tenant.

We went with a glass tank for that very reason- our hammie would not stop biting the bars. You can find tanks much roomier than a cage and for less money on Craiglist.
