Hello and welcome to Hamster Central.

It's not the largest of cages available on the market and it's suitability will depend on your hamster. I've got one and would only really use it as a starter cage for a younger hamster or one that has already had issues with too much space. I'd personally be looking for something with a bit more space for the average hamster though - even a dwarf as they can be just as active as Syrians - if not more so!

What kind of dwarf is she? Something like a Duna Multy would be a good option for most types of dwarf hamster as there's no bars to escape through or if you've got a Russian Hamster then something like the Hamster Heaven could be an option.

Alternatively there is the option of bin cages which can be made fairly cheaply if you're willing to put a little bit of work in.

It really does depend on species in terms of what size to aim for! There are plenty options for all different species, but housing should be species appropriate. This means no tall cages, and for any hamster species levels do not count as floor space.

Savic Hamster Heaven Metro Cage | Great deals at zooplus! The tubes shouldn't be used and the plastic levels aren't very good, but the cage itself would be great for a more space nervous Russian dwarf as long as you set it up well.
Barney Pet Cage | Great deals at zooplus! Midrange pricing, but excellent for Russian dwarf hamsters depending on the setup
Alaska Hamster Cage | Free P&P on orders £29+ at zooplus! The cheaper end of storebought cages.Again, more suitable towards the space nervous Russian dwarf or a Russian dwarf that is on the smaller end of the spectrum.
Living World Green Eco Habitat | Free P&P on orders £29+ at zooplus!
Skyline Small Pet Terrarium Marrakesh | Free P&P £29+ at zooplus!

Those would be options suitable more for Russian dwarf hamsters though,so if it is another species there could be far more options especially cheap options!

When you say dwarf ham I guess you mean Russian hybrid as most do when they don't specify species & I would agree that cage isn't suitable for a Russian or any dwarf species really.
The hamster heaven is a good size for a Russian, they are very active little hams & once you have a house, good size (20cm) wheel, sand bath & some toys even that doesn't have much space left!
If you do get a hamster heaven I would recommend not using the penthouse & tubes, they might look like fun but can cause a lot of problems & it's actually a much better cage without them.
The Alaska is a cheaper option but is quite a tall cage so can be hard to set up for a dwarf as they can easily fall from the bars.
If you prefer a tank style cage then the Duna multy would be another good option.

My favourite cages for Russians are the Ferplast Duna cages. The best sizes are the Duna Multi or the Duna Fun Large (multi with tubes and platforms). My pair are in a Duna Fun Large (I'm lucky they don't fight over platforms and tubes but be careful because some pairs will) and they love the space! My youngest hybrid is in a Duna Fun with a Mini Duna attached, he's scared of large open spaces so this is more suitable than a larger cage for now.
