Do I need to boil?
Hey guys so I found a rock that I want to put in my Syrian hamster , peanut's, cage
My dad says I should boil the rock I just need to rinse in hot water
Is he right ? Should I boil the rock
( he says boiling a rock sounds funny )
I need your answers !!!

You should definitely boil the rock if you want to sterilize it

Rocks can explode if you boil them.
A good soak in some pet safe disinfectant, a thorough rinse then allow to dry & that should be enough.

I didn't know that Cypher, that's good to know. I've boiled rocks and wood before with no problem.

That will only clean dirt off, if you want to sterilise it you need to use a pet safe disinfectant & then rinse it after.
