Default Re: Help with making a bin cage :(

I agree Syrians need a decent space much more than a lot of cages out there supply and I do hate the myth that because they are small they should be in small cages. It really is a gripe of mine to see what pet shops sell as housing. But I also feel that not every hamsters needs to be in a 100x100 cage as nice as it would be it's not practical especially if you own more than one. I also don't feel a hamster needs to be in a cage that size and as you say vectis a lot can be frightened by such a huge space which of course would cost a fortune to decorate and make sure that there is lots of cover so they feel safe. Not saying that's wrong if you want to do that. That's your choice. But I don't think it's a must. If I had a cage that size I know I would never see fudge as he would never want to come out! I think interaction from us and exercise out of the cage is equally as important too.

I had actually thought about that option CB but didn't think it be possible to ask.
