Default Is this a safe bedding?

I was wondering if this bedding was safe?

Buy Snowflake Woodshavings Pet Bedding: 4 Pack at Home Bargains

It's dust extracted but I'm still a bit unsure about it. :/ I'm honestly useless at this stuff.

It may be nontoxic, but that doesn't mean it will 100% guaranteed never cause an allergic reaction(just like any other natural bedding).

https://www.fitchrecycling.co.uk/fit...bale-20kg.html

Fitch is the safest UK bedding(and other places as well for an additional charge!).It's practically dust free, and unlike wood bedding and hemp bedding and such it will never cause an allergic reaction. For 20kg at that price it is an amazing value for a paper bedding,or just bedding in general. You can get larger amounts than that, but it will cost much more and be more difficult to store.Just keep in mind that if you ever somehow have space for so much bedding it is a lot cheaper in bulk(more than a single bale).

Thanks so much The wood shavings are the bedding that they are currently on I just wanted to make sure that they were 'OK' and we've never had any allergic reactions to it (Thankfully) but hopefully I can buy some fitch bedding for them Thank you!

It's perfectly safe MeganAndMisty, I don't use woodshavings myself but I think that is one of the more popular ones.

Fitch is great substrate & the hams do love it but if yours are happy with what you now use no need to change it.

I've used Snowflake bedding with no problems. If you're happy with it, stick with it. I know a lot of people use Fitch and I have to admit I'd quite like to try it myself but it's not for everyone - not everyone has space it to store it for one thing! If you want to try it, go for it but don't feel you need to swap.

I'm sure that, much like in humans, allergies are one of those things that are a possibility but they aren't such a problem to need worrying about it unless you've specifically had a problem with your ham that leads you think an allergy is the cause.

Snowflake is definitely one of the better brands of shavings out there. I've used it myself with no issues. If your hammie isn't scratching, excessively sneezing or losing fur then you don't need to be worrying about allergens.
At the hamsters shows, we are required to have all hams (with the exception of long haired Syrians) on Woodshavings in their show pens so if they were anything to be majorly worried about, I don't think it would be a requirement in showing
