Re: New Karlie Flamingo Wheel
I ordered the 27cm one. I like it. Also it's not too tall and fits in lower cages. It's just over 31cm tall (31.2cm), whereas the Trixie wheel is about 32cm tall. It seems quiet, just a slight swish - but not quite as silent as the Wood wonderland wheel. Nice sturdy base, spins fine although not such a good spin as the Silent Runner. I'm going to use it in Charlie's holiday cage next week as his Silent runner doesn't fit. Also with it being low and open, less risk for him with his stiff back legs, than something like the Trixie wheel where he could get a leg caught.

Re: New Karlie Flamingo Wheel
Just an update on this wheel. I really like it. I wasn't sure about it at first, but Charlie used it happily while we were on holiday. It is very quiet, stable and spins well. Shame about the price. The only real advantage over other wheels is it is quite low for a 27cm wheel - slightly lower in height than a 27cm wodent wheel. It was easy for Charlie to get in and out of with his stiff back legs. Hope Zooplus start stocking them at a cheaper price!

Re: New Karlie Flamingo Wheel
Oh! I was expecting it to be bright pink!! I'd have probably got it (you know, just in case!) if it was!
Though saying that, Mr Sweep needs a quiter wheel ...!

Re: New Karlie Flamingo Wheel
It might not be big enough for Sweep if he's a big hamster I thought it would be ok for Charlie for a week while we were on holiday. 27cm is a good size for an average hamster though.
Otherwise you could paint it pink I think the 6" and 7" options are good for dwarf hammy or robo though now that the silent spinners are a bit iffy.

Re: New Karlie Flamingo Wheel
Isn't it the same size as the Trixie?

Re: New Karlie Flamingo Wheel
Trixie is 28cm diameter. This one is 27cm diameter. And lower in height. The wood Karlie wheel is 29cm and the Cork Karlie wheel is 28.5cm. Charlie was fine with a 29cm wheel but not a 27cm one, size-wise. Even the 28.5 wasn't quite big enough for him. I'm keeping it as a spare now (or for the future maybe).

Re: New Karlie Flamingo Wheel
I think Sweep might be alright with it. He didn't seem huge but not small when I met him last week. I'm sure he'd like it or maybe get it as a spare wheel if it's on the small side.
Maybe I can convince my dad to get it as a birthday present for me lol?
Looks like a really nice wheel though. Pinkneon there is a pinky-purple Comfort Wheel . Jasper has one from Viovet but in a dwarf size obviously.

Re: New Karlie Flamingo Wheel
Lol I meant my birthday present so I could give it to Jasper! Probably my best typo yet lol! Oh well. It would be nice to try running on a wheel like a hamster though
