Re: What does YOUR hammy sleep in?
Charlie (Syrian) has this large labyrinth house Same idea as the Leif labyrinth house on the page before, but a better size for a Syrian. I first got him a guinea pig house that was one open room and he moved his wee corner inside it, so I put his potty inside the house. He then ran out of room for hoards so I got him a bigger house with a lift off roof (lift off roofs are great! You can check inside without taking the house out and their nest falling apart). I then got him the large labyrinth house which has rooms/partitions - one room has his nest, another his potty (which he uses in there) and he has various hoarding places in there. They love the extra top entrances on labyrinth houses.
If you've got space for one they're nice to have.

Re: What does YOUR hammy sleep in?
That one is from Rodipet They make great hamster houses. It just works out a bit expensive because of the £7 postage from Germany. The house itself cost about £17. It's probably quite easy to make one if you're ok with diy. It's basically just a box with compartments in and holes cut in and a lid.
That particular one is really big and I thought it would take up too much space in my 80cm cage, so waited till I got the bigger cage
This is the labyrinth house

For an 80cm cage, something like this one might be better though.
It isn't a labyrinth house but has 3 rooms and 3 lift off roof sections. One roof section is rough granite so it helps keep their nails short as well, if the food bowl is on top.

The main downside to the big one I have is the roof is huge to lift off and a bit awkward, but I manage

If the house lid is a bit large when lifting. Maybe it could be cut smaller.

Re: What does YOUR hammy sleep in?
Belle sleeps in a nest or tunnel inside a cardboard box, previous to this she slept in a plastic strawberry that she decided made a better bed than sand bath. So much so she got all the sand out.
Rose sleeps in the bottom 'house' of her three story wooden house/ complex and during the day can be found digging a hole to sleep in in her tipi - pets at home have it listed as a guinea pig toy but there is no chance a guinea pig could fit in it!!

Willow alternates between sleeping in a Barney house, a cardboard box and her wheel lol
Cardboard boxes are the cheapest option by far as you can just cut holes in for doors

Re: What does YOUR hammy sleep in?
Hugo sleeps in a broken hanging coconut! He chewed the rope so it doesn't hang down anymore, so I just place the coconut on the floor of his cage. He loves it!
Flump doesn't like sleeping in houses, she prefers to make her own MASSIVE nests in the corner of the cage! She moves house occassionally to other corners of the cage, but most of the time its always in one specific corner.

You may need/want to add a small piece of wood to make it sit right.
If you cut it right you may be able to remove Charlie's potty for cleaning without disturbing his sleep.
