Is it safe? - Toilet paper
Hello
Can anyone tell me if I'd be ok using aloe vera toilet paper for nesting material? I have a baby WW. It's not a problem if it can't be used, my hammy will just have to wait until tomorrow.
Thanks

Re: Is it safe? - Toilet paper
Personally I use plain white toilet paper for bedding for Pip and did the same for Forrest, I would not use anything that has been "added to" it's not worth the risk.
If you have some white plain kitchen roll that will be fine as temporary bedding.

I think you're only meant to use non-scented toilet paper as they have very sensitive respiratory systems.

Re: Is it safe? - Toilet paper
No, not kitchen towel Chesca. The reason is that it does not dissolve in water as well. Anything like that might cause an internal blockage. The best is plain white basic toilet paper. Just tear up into strips, leave outside the house/nest area and let him carry it to where he wants to make a nest.

Chesca's only using the kitchen roll for today until she gets plain toilet paper tomorrow.

Re: Is it safe? - Toilet paper
UPDATE: He has a whole roll of toilet paper to himself now. I put some dow my sleeve, then ripped it up about an hour later for his cage. Larry-Jasper has about 7-8 sheets of toilet paper and has completely ignored it lol. He's a funny little ham. Oh well. He has it in case.
