Hi,

If you wanted to avoid meshing the bars on the lid which might be a bit fiddly, then the Ferplast Duna is a simlar cage but with smaller gaps between the bars - no meshing required

http://www.equinecaninefeline.com/ca...-delivery.html

It's a little bit more expensive at £39.99 but you can get 10% off by using the code FUN88

I have this cage for my Syrian. It's a roomy cage which has good floor space and room for toys and a decent sized wheel.

P.S the link you gave for Shane Todd sirect where the Zoozone cage seems cheaper - the page states that you have to order a minimum of two cages, thats why its a little cheaper.

Your second link, for the Peggy - in my opinion this cage is also much too small. I had the Peggy Metro which has additional tubes going over the top, and my Syrian soon grew really bored in it and looked miserable...she's sooooo much happier in the Duna Multy

The cheapest cage I can think of that is suitable for syrians and has shelves and stuff is the Savic Cambridge. Pets at Home aren't the only place that sell it but I know that they're reducing the price because they're discontinuing it. A lot of people use it for their hamsters and mice and Savic are a really good company.

The Hamster Heaven is another great cage also by Savic which comes with shelves and tubes and stuff, but at 60 odd quid it's probably a bit expensive! P@H are apparently discontinuing that one too so you never know they might start selling them off cheaper as well.

There's a review of the Cambridge here.

That does look quote roomy from the pics! I'm sure getting a different wheel would be no problem

I bought the Cambridge for my first hamster after reading a bunch of reviews (when realising how sad and small the first cage from the shop was) and it seems to me that Cambridge has to be a cleaning haven compared to the Spaghetti one.

That's good news! I think I'll wait a week or so, just in case it goes down in price, then get it.

Off topic question, the ball I've got is a 18cm (7") one and looks too big for a baby hammie, thnk I should get a smaller one?

That's fine Cat, even a baby syrian will find the smaller balls too small. They need to be able to run without having to arch their backs.

Brill

I really want the Savic Hamster Heaven but it really is far too expensive, not sure my overdraft can spare much more!
