All the new cages come with a solid floor. It still has mesh at the front and back though. I know someone who has one. It looks much better on screen than in real life. Their dwarf struggles to climb up the tube and will only go up for water. The level is very flimsy and can fall off quickly. It's not a great cage, especially for the price. I use a DIY Ikea Billy cage.

That's what I thought - it still has mesh round the edge. I can't imagine a dwarf hamster trying to get up that tube.

I nearly got one of these before I found the forum. As already stated, they've changed from a mesh floor to one with a mostly solid floor but because of that I don't fancy the odds that the bottom level is particularly well ventilated now. I've seen some live,y looking DIY cages on here and YouTube using things like ikea furniture that give the look of a Qute but in a suitable format -size, access, ventilation etc.

It's a tough one to broach when your friend has spent money. If she hasn't already got her ham in it then yes, I'd try for a refund but it might be tricky if already used. If you could maybe show her your cages and all the fab things you can fit in them then it may encourage her.

My friend's dwarf struggles with the tube to the extent where it will only go up for water (occasionally). The ventilation must be awful!
