Really noisy wheel!

My syrian's 8.5in Comfort wheel is rediculously noisy, so much so that I've had trouble sleeping for the past few nights - not sometng you want when you've got exams coming up! Has anyone got any ideas on how to make it less noisy? I don't want to have to put her cage in the bathroom each night =/

If it is rattling on the floor we put a wadge of kitchen roll underneath to cushion it. It doesn't matter if the hammy shreds that up. You can also lubricate the spindle with some vaseline or a bit of vegetable oil but you need to wipe any excess off after applying it. It needs done frequently to keep it running squeak free.

Cheers Souffle! Would olive oil be safe to use, only I don't think we've any vegetable oil in the house.
