Lightbulb Sanitising coloured wooden toys?

Hi, I was wondering about Willow's toys and what I may do with them when she's gone and I came to the question: How can I sanitise wooden toys with coloured dyes? I know that with other wooden toys (e.g uncoloured houses, driftwood etc...) you can boil them but I was told that if you boil coloured toys them the dues will run? I'd really appreciate it if anyone could clarify whether it's true or not (which I'm convinced it is) and, if it is true, any other ways of sanitising coloured wooden toys? Thanks xx
