Re: Waiting to pick up my cage..
Ooh how exciting. I hope this one is all well and no damage. Sometimes people remove the tubes and penthouse with this cage to stop hamsters nesting in the tubes or blocking them off. You can still use a couple of tubes as floor toys though. The cage has a great front door!

Re: Waiting to pick up my cage..
It arrived, I collected it, checked all the parts in the shop and all is ok. I've been buying toys, Ive bought some carefresh, food etc and now just waiting to find a hammy that stands out.
I saw one in pets at home and the sales man said they only came in yesterday, but he looked a bit big.. unless of course it was just fluff as he was very fluffy.

Re: Waiting to pick up my cage..
You sure he wasn't a rescue one? I think most Pets at Home shops have a rescue section

No he wasn't a rescue one. He was in with all the younger hamsters. I didn't look at the rescue section to be fair.

Re: Waiting to pick up my cage..
Could have been fluff then ... I've not really seen long haired hamsters so wouldn't really know! Did you get one in the end?

Re: Waiting to pick up my cage..
I have got one now, I actually visited about 3/4 pet shops and ended up going back to get the long haired one I saw yesterday. He is in the hamster heaven now. I felt so sorry for him because the person in the shop made him squeak. But he's home now and hes settling in. He's a bit jumpy buy I think I would be too if I had just moved somewhere totally new
