Best toys and boredom breakers
Hi All
SO got Oreo her new TANK and it's absolutely MASSIVE. I now need to fill it with toys! I don't really know what to get - what is best to stimulate her and keep her occupied in keeping with her natural behaviour?
I look at the log tunnels/bridges and I can't see those keeping her busy. I've had the benefit of allowing 15 cm substrate which she loves to dive in and make tunnels herself. In fact I lost her in the substrate and had to find her!
Thanks

Cardboard tube with bedding and food in and fold the ends in to make a box. Tuck the ends over and under each other to make it stay closed. She has to chew through the box to get to the things inside.

Lol
I know people recommend bendy bridges. Pandora doesn't really seem to care for her toys, so I will be following this thread to see what other things people suggest

What's a bendy bridge!?
I will try the cardboard tube and hide her food in it. She doesn't seem to like tubes that much generally. I wonder if it's because she is a syrian and too big for them?

Re: Best toys and boredom breakers
Cut a slit the length of a toilet roll or kitchen roll tube for Syrians so it can expand and they won't get stuck.
A bendy bridge is a row of wooden sticks joined by wire that can bend. They are available in pets at home (woodland sticks) and other pet shops or online.
You can get bigger cardboard tubes sold for rats or Guinea pigs that you could give to your hamster.

Re: Best toys and boredom breakers
Percy, my Syrian loves when I hide cardboard boxes under bedding, So when he digs he finds little houses. Percy has a HUGE shoebox which I made rooms in with pieces of cardboard which I made for virtually free! I would recommend having a big sleeping area. Bendy bridges are a big hit my him, but buy them online! They are so much cheaper and you might as well buy enough to get the free shipping Good luck xx
