Re: Need inspiration for zoozone layout
The ladder only bends one way and there's a safety barrier one one size of the platform. The underside of the platform has an uneven surface too. It's a bendy bridge on top of the shelf support to make it the right height

Re: Need inspiration for zoozone layout
It looks lovely. Hope you don't mind if I make the odd suggestion. Just thing the flying suace might be better on the base, in case your hammy flies off it. And maybe the lose the other wheel as it looks a bit small maybe. Is the large pink thing under the shelf, the house? I haven't seen one of those before.

Re: Need inspiration for zoozone layout
The wheels fine for a dwarf hamster plenty big enough the large pink house is has a large hole at each end. It's from savic and think it's a guinea pig hut. I have a smaller house inside there for a bedroom. I will see how the hamster uses the flying saucer and if looks like she will fall move it

Re: Need inspiration for zoozone layout
Looks good. I would just have as malls house in the bottom. Not the big Guinea pig one from Slavic. You may find the hamster stays under the big house a lot, so you don't see it and it could make taming harder.
See how the hamster likes the setup and adjust it as needed. A toilet/sand bath would be helpful as it keeps the dirty bedding in one place, which saves you having to change the whole bedding as often.
Hope all goes well with your new hamster.

Re: Need inspiration for zoozone layout
I have to have the big house as it supports the shelves She is already tame so will be wanting to come out for cuddles rather than hiding

Re: Need inspiration for zoozone layout
Ok. It's good if you can get a tame hamster already. It still may take time to settle and get to know you.

Re: Need inspiration for zoozone layout
Yep all my current animals are from the same rodent rescue and the lady that runs it works really hard to gain the trust of all the rescues she gets. Some have such horrible backgrounds this hamster has been with her for 6 months and was really young and pregnant when she took her in
