Default Bin cages

Hi guys,

I currently have my Syrian in two level bin cage. However, I still feel like she is a bit cramped. I am moving into a new house with loads more space and want to get her something bigger. However, I cant find a storage bin any bigger than the one I have. Also I have noticed that they seem to be measured in litres rather than cm or inches so its hard to tell when buying online if they are big enough.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how many litres the bin cage should be, or any sites etc which do extra large storage boxes (in the UK).

Thanks in advance

I don't know how big your current bins are but the largest ikea samla bin is 80 x 50cm, which is the minimum recommended size for a Syrian in the uk.

I think it's around 140 liters to fit minimum. Some box's taper inwards, so the actual measurement at the bottom is smaller than what it states on the website.

Really useful box's are great and really good quality. They don't taper in either. They are expensive though and you could buy the Alaska cage with the same money but here's the link anyway - Access Denied (Don't know why it says access denied but the link still works)

It's actually cheaper at B&Q, but the homebase link shows you all the measurements - Really Useful Clear 145L Storage Box | Rooms | DIY at B&Q

I don't know if there are IKEAS in the UK, but if so their 34 gallon (sorry, don't what that is in liters) SAMLA bin is awesome and HUGE! Also, if your looking for an expansion cage, underbed storage bins are amazing. But, they shouldn't really be used as a main cage for Syrians as they're usually to short for a good sized wheel. Good luck!

They are available in the UK, and it's sold as the 130 litre Samla here
