I wouldn't worry about her behaviour, it's quite natural really if she still isn't really tame or you've been cleaning a little too much she will be sensitive to her stuff being messed with for a while but she should get used to it!
Don't expect her to necessarily begin using the tray immediately although it does happen just be patient & persevere.

Could you show me a picture of the tray you use? And where you got it please.

Re: Starting to smell!
Hi, how often do you clean her cage out?
it could well be that she is in heat when she is smelling bad
Do regular spot cleaning especially if she isn't potty trained x

Re: Starting to smell!
I'm looking for a litter tray for a dwarf hamster. So I don't think I will need something huge. Most of the ones I've seen go to a corner. But I'm looking for one that I can put next to her little house she loves to sleep and pee in.

Re: Starting to smell!
Have a look round your kitchen!
Any small, say a few inches round or square, ceramic, glass, plastic or metal container will do, you just want something easy to clean, sides not too high, no rough edges.
This is an example of one dish I use, I also use these (without the lid obviously!) you could even just use a hamster food bowl or something similar, it doesn't have to be something sold as a litter tray.
ETA Here you can see how I have both of those in Mickle's cage if that helps give you an idea.

I use these from Wilkinsons. They are big enough for a Syrian
