Re: New Silent Runner wheel in Uk
Here's another photo with the measurement if that helps, sorry it's upside down but it was tricky holding the tape measure in place with one hand!

Re: New Silent Runner wheel in Uk
I'm in the US & got a 9" wheel last week. This is what mine looks like...no gap, but I can't get the plastic track straight in there, which causes the tiniest scissor like wobble. Everytime I put the front piece on, the track goes angled....almost as if it's cut a thinly bit short. The wobble doesn't affect the use or silence of the wheel though...it just annoys my OCD!

I noticed sleight unevenness in the joining strip towards the front of the running track? Maybe push the left sides tighter into the joining strip? Looks like right right side of the photo (joining strip ) looks real snug.
I don't know if you could press the plastic closer together or not? If that makes any sense?
Edit: I just looked at mine & one side is snug & the top of the other side has,a tiny unevenness. So I'll have to pull his wheel apart later & see if I can make that tighter.

Re: New Silent Runner wheel in Uk
There was no way for me to get rid of the tiny bit of unevenness the joining strip. One side fits snug but one side of the joining strip is tighter than the other. That's probably why..doesn't seem to affect the wheel itself tho. Once the sides are on it's not uneven...just the joining strip itself is tighter on one side & loose on the other.

Re: New Silent Runner wheel in Uk
The gaps are on both sides before the plastic sides are pushed into place, then the gaps disappear. If you disconnect the sides, the plastic joining strip doesn't measure the full width of the strip
It looks like there are no gaps once the plates are in place
Why are there 2 threads, I'm getting confused? Lol

Me too lol! I keep forgetting where I posted
I took mine apart, lined the joining strip up a bit better & now there's no gap at all.
Definitely no wobble!

I disassembled mine just now which is a gd thing cause he peed in it last night but I don't have any gaps (once the sides are together) like in photo above. Mine isn't wobbly either.
Just my joining strip is tighter on one side & loose on the other (the only slightest defect). But like I was saying earlier it doesn't affect the wheel after its assembled. As long as Koalas happy & the wheel works good, a little defect doesn't matter. OCD

Re: New Silent Runner wheel in Uk
I actually found mine easier to slide into the joining strip second time around, don't know if it's loosened up a bit or if the plastic was warmer & more flexible, with a bit of a push it was easy getting the two ends lined up properly, the fiddly bit is getting the joiner central but I found the edge of the stand is just the right size for pushing it into place!
