How to make a Corex Playpen
This isn't my idea - I got it from here last year, but I did put a video together on it from some photos someone had asked for. So here's the video on making a Corex (Coroplast) Playpen. Corex isn't that cheap for a few sheets but very sturdy. Mine cost about £20 for five sheets, plus the bulldog clips. But cheaper than some! I got the Corex from ebay. It comes in different colours as well.

Re: How to make a Corex Playpen
Great vid I'm sure lots of people will find that helpful.
I made one just making holes in each corner & fixing with cable ties, it still folds flat really easily, easier than my metal play pens actually so I can hide it away under the sofa.

Re: How to make a Corex Playpen
Yep sure did. When I first joined here, someone posted about making them from Corex and bulldog clips. Took me a while to get round to doing it. You can actually put it up anywhere or in a long thin run rather than a square. I put ours round the cage so I could leave the cage door open and Charlie could go in and out. Had it up most nights until it started getting colder. He seemed to get bored with coming out after a while!

Thanks Velma! It helps to see it and not just describe it.

Lol. He seems to have fun. Never thought of making a playpen. Was thinking about getting one of the wires ones but then thought better of it as she is a really good climber before she used to climb on the side of the cage and dangle from the top of the cage until she realized the wheel was more fun. Lol

Re: How to make a Corex Playpen
I'd like a room where I could let him run around safely, but we can't where we live as have floorboards and it's impossible to block up all the little gaps, so the playpen was so he could have a run around out of the cage.
There are some good wire ones but some are a bit low for Syrians. There is no way Charlie can get over the top of this one! (Although he nearly pulled a corner apart once, where I had forgotten to put a bulldog clip).
