Smile New Cage for Jinx!

Hello, it's been a while since I posted anything concerning my little Jinx but just today I upgraded her old hand-me-down SuperPet brand cage (which was admittedly too small even for a Chinese Dwarf like her) to an aquarium style cage which I found at a second hand shop.

After scrubbing it down with hot water and dish soap, I filled it with some of her old bedding and old toys/habitats and then even put some toys that I now had room for. Note: I miscalculated and the green wheel is a bit too large for her to use. I'll be going out tomorrow to get her a smaller one.

Any advice on how to better help Jinx adjust to her new home would be appreciated. Also, any ideas on what else to add to make her more comfortable would also be appreciated

Hi ToriandHams,

For some reason, I can't see your pictures. You mentioned the wheel was too big? How large is it and what kind?
As long as you have a wheel, some place for her to sleep, some chewing toys, and places for her to hide, she should be ok. Make sure you give her a few days to get used to her new environment. Oh, and don't forget food and water of course!

Hi there virtualkeith!

I've tried fixing the photos, perhaps you can see them now?

And the wheel is 6 inches, I believe. Jinx is about the size of a mouse so in retrospect, I probably should have gone for the 4 inch wheel which was recommended for mice/small hamsters. But a pet blogger I saw said it was wise to size up for wheels so as not to strain a hamster's back.
