Re: Good size tank style cage - like Gabber/zoozone
I have just ordered one of these cages so I hope that it will fit an 8 inch wheel. If not I will have to use it as a birthing cage/rearing cage, or send it back, I guess!
It certainly looked like it ought to fit though... what's the diameter of your WW?

I've got the 8" WW and it fits in the cage perfectly - loads of room above it and around it. I think the other poster must have the Senior wheel which is alot bigger
Hope you like the cage

Re: Good size tank style cage - like Gabber/zoozone
For anyone else who has ordered these - how do you make sure the door at the top stays closed? There doesn't seem to be any way to clip it in, so any sort of push from below and the hamster will open it and be out. This would mean no toys or anything where they may be able to touch the bars at all - not ideal.
I think I would only consider this for babies at the moment, or I may be sending it back if I can stomach wasting the return postage costs.

Re: Good size tank style cage - like Gabber/zoozone
Hi Furrypolka
I have this cage - the wire lid fixes on one side (so it opens like a hinge) and then there should be two plastic clips on the other side that should twist round to hold the lid down. It's quite secure with these clips.
Does yours not have these?

It has the clips and these are fine, however the other side has no hinge or any way to clip in - it just rests on top and can easily be pushed from below.
Odd. I might email the company and see what they say.

You need to push it right in to the plastic so it clips on, it takes a bit of effort but once it's clipped in it should stay.
