Re: What do you think?
Yay, sounds great! Ebay would be good as my mum purchases most things from there. Definitely give a link to them once your put them up!

Re: What do you think?
Ok, it now has a hole in the top
I've put a small shelf under the hole, so the hammie can either go under the shelf and out the side exit, or climb up on to the shelf to go out the top. The shelf takes up a lot less room than a ramp would have.

Re: What do you think?
I really really like that shelf idea!! That's brilliant . Definitely a better solution than the ramp. Spike would easily be able to climb that, although it may be good to have it slightly lower? Difficult to judge the space the hamster has once lid is on. The only modification I would suggest then would be to block the small gab between the shelf and the wall that's made by that one strut. I would worry about a clumsy hammy getting a leg stuck by accident. That's a really fantastic job PiggyRoom

Thanks! The shelf is 8cm from the ground and there is 6.5 cm between the shelf and the roof. I couldn't put it any lower or it would block off part of the exit hole on the side. I can block off the hole at the back of the shelf, no problem

Lovely big entrance holes for even Cc's large behind to fit through and plenty of room for her to wriggle around. Also the price was very reasonable and it was posted in no time at all.

I am so pleased you like it! It was no problem changing the measurements, in fact it might be a good idea to make them all the same size as yours, as so many people (including myself) have a Detolf.
I am working on a shelf/second level for a Detolf at the moment

Re: What do you think?
These are amazing and i'll definitely be buying once you complete your Facebook page! I have a little idea, not sure if it's doable but i think it'd be great.
A climbing frame/maze inside a box with an acrylic front with a hole made in the bottom so you can see them inside and has an entrance? It'd be a tall box instead of long and have ledges inside so the hamster can climb to the top. It could also have a hole in the side (maybe just above the height of your other boxes) so that it can enter through the side at a higher level? It'd be a good way to encourage foraging because treats could be placed on each level.
I'm pretty bad at explaining things so i hope you get the jist of what i mean and maybe consider it? I struggle finding toys and things for my hamsters and something like that i know they'd love to use
