So -the Alexander or the double decker one (100 x 50 x 89) or this big cage 100 x 54 x 56 high? First two have 7mm bar spacing, third one has 8mm.

None of them look to have the deep base you wanted
Someone here needs to design and manufacture the perfect hamster cage. I kinda like the third one. Lots of room for you to decorate yourself

That wooden one on the german Amazon site does look amazing, I'd love one of those! I do like the look of the last big cage too, it looks to have a nice big door, the base doesn't look overly deep but probably deep enough to be ok, did you post a link to that somewhere? I think that might actually be good for mine!

I kind of think the 3rd one too, a blank canvas is much easier to work with and half the things that come with the Alexander really won't be used and will just be end up being stuffed in a cupboard, well that's what happened to mine anyway

I found those cages on Amazon & had a good look, they both look like really good cages, I can't quite figure out why the double decker is cheaper than the single, bit strange! They are fairly expensive but worth it I think,
I'm so tempted now lol!

ETA I meant to say I totally agree about starting with a blank canvas, I usually end up binning stuff that comes with cages & find if I try to use any of it it just limits what I can do too much.

Those cages are really bugging me now, I have to keep going back for another look!
The single tier Borneo one is out for me sadly, at 119cm I really can't fit it in, well I could but I wouldn't be able to get through the door so not very practical but for anyone who does have the space I think it's a really great cage for any species.
At 98cm the 2 tier Sky cage is actually a bit more practical & the more I look at it the more I like it, I hate to think about future proofing cages as it means thinking about a time when the lovely hams I have now are no longer with me but it's a big investment, again I have to try to be practical. So I think this one too would suit any species & with an older ham that might not be up to climbing that big ladder or a younger untamed ham I think you could just remove the ladder & still have a really good size cage with the base alone. I also think having that "roof" with the upper tier base might make a very timid ham feel less exposed & safer.
I do wish they had a photo showing how the ladder hole in the top works, I'm guessing it would need something to keep a good layer of substrate from constantly falling through but that wouldn't be hard to do.
I'm probably talking myself into buying one lol! but just thought I'd share my pondering in case anyone else finds it useful.

Good news Cypher the Borneo I posted the pic of is 100cm, not the 120cm one - I found the 100cm on ebay in Germany, rather than Amazon which has the 120cm one - same seller though. Here's the link. It's 99 x 54 x 56 with 8mm bar spacing - so not really any bigger than your Mamble.

Mäuse- und Hamsterheim BORNEO "L" DELUXE inkl. kompletter Ausstattung | eBay

Yes I know, Piebald, they all have standard bases, but I had to go with the 7mm bar spacing or a tank and I think I'd have less actually space in a tank if it was 100cm - reckon it would need to be 120cm. But I was thinking of sticking plexiglass to the inside of the bottom cage on the two tier one maybe. The hole is quite big I think cypher - I think the ladder over it protects them from falling down without walking round the back under the shelf. I thought some kind of house or tunnel over it would allow higher substrate either side and an 'entrance' to the tunnel. On the other hand you really only have half a cage of floor space on top because of the access hole - but there's a shelf as well. I'm still not sure about it, and when I look at the pictures, I always prefer the Alexander because it's just such a great design - but yes I'd probably only end up using one of the shelves and none of the houses lol! One thing I wondered about the Alexander - not sure if anyone has tried it - is if you had the three shelves in like they are in the photo, if you could put the wheel in the centre of the cage on a platform, so it kind of comes up through the shelves just in front of the rear shelf, and has a gap under the platform so there is still substrate underneath and it doesn't block the middle of the cage. Does that make sense? So it would be a bit like the Ferplast Favola that has a hole in a platform with the wheel sticking up through it.

I agree the third cage is probably best use of space - flat top and higher than the Alexander - it's basically the size of a Mamble I think but with smaller bar spacing.

That other one I posted the link to is frustrating! It's a fantastic design but the pictures are all for the larger 100cm one, which is very deep - 72 cm deep! I wouldn't have room for one. There is a 78cm one that is 45cm deep but that's not really big enough, and they show the picture of the 100cm one next to it, which is deceptive. I translated one of the reviews for the 78cm one and he said it wasn't as big as expected due to the photo showing the 100cm one.

What I was trying to work out was whether you'd have more floor space and accessibility in the Alexander, than in the two tier cage, which although has two bases, might have not much floorspace on the top tier and only one shelf. Shame it's grey as well and not a nice blue like the Alexander!

I found a link on here from a while back of someone who had that two tier cage and converted into two separate cages. I don't think it's easy to get hold of in the Uk now, but is called the 'Carlos' on the german Amazon site. I think it's the same cage.

I have had some success getting in direct contact with sellers when Amazon comes up with a doesn't ship notice. Sometimes they are not aware of it and sometimes you can make individual arrangements. Worth a try if it's what you want.

That's smaller cage on ebay is now making my decisions harder lol! You've done an amazing job finding all of these great cages!
I've no idea about fitting the wheel into the Alexander cage sorry, even with the hole in the top floor of the two tier cage you'd still have more floor space surely, even the bottom alone is about the same as an Alexander. You would need to keep the things you need to access most easily or frequently on the bottom with the big door I guess as those smaller doors & it being high up could make access a bit difficult but I don't really see that as a problem if you give some forethought to how you want things arranged, Putting a house over the hole would be a good idea too.
