Default Wheels...

What wheels do you all use?

I have a Savic for my Syrian, Bertie which I find quite noisy

I am due to take on 2 robos when they are weaned so I am busy ordering cage etc, and am stuck on wheels... The shops sell the bog standard REALLY noisy ones, but I found the Wodent Wheel on zooplus. Are they any good? Quiet? What sizes for a syrian, and for robos? Do they come off their stands to fix on to the bars? I have also seen these

Too much choice So little time

For Robo's the Small or medium silent spinner wheel will be good. Syrians need an 8" wheel, so, the smallest wodent wheel would be fine.

The silent spinners do come off their stands, but the wodent wheels don't..

What sort of cage are you having for the robos?
This Rody would be good for 2 robos

and it already has one wheel and you could add another in the form of a silent spinner. I would go for the medium one personally in case they are large robos!
For a syrian the Junior Wodent wheel is the correct size. The Savic jumbo rolly is not normall too bad for noise. You can remove the spindle and put a tiny smear of vaseline on it to stop squeaking. If it is hitting the bars or base when the hamster is on it try moving it to a different position. We have sometimes had to wire them in position asthe can run along the bars.

I like the silent spinners the best & seem to be pretty safe but have not used them with the stands before though.
