Default Removing wheel in Mini Duna

I'm trying to remove the small wheel that comes with the Mini Duna as I have an 8'' wheel coming, but seriously, is that thing welded on?! I've tried all sorts of ways but it just won't come off! It's mounted on a little bit of plastic on the level, and I don't want to force it through fear of snapping the shelf! Any ideas?!

I remember what my old Duna wheel was like lol
I took the shelf out, tipped it upside down and held it sturdy to the floor whilst removing the wheel. Have you tried a little olive oil around the attachment to see if it will help it move?

Are you trying to get the wheel off the attatchment or the attatchment off the shelf? Both are doable so maybe if you're struggling with one of them try and remove the other instead?

Ah, the welded on Duna wheel! They are rather useless aren`t they? I would remove the whole shelf and do as GhostsInSnow suggested and just PULL!!! Try and pull out (vertically) the shelf slot-in plastic piece. Then take a pair of pliers and break or snap the spindle off the wheel itself. Doesn`t matter if the wheel spindle is broken as this wheel is rather useless anyway. Try and save the shelf attachment if you can as that is worth saving, although I doubt it would hold a decent sized wheel in there anyway without the wheel hitting the floor! You are better off with an independent wheel and stand. x

Finally managed to do it - thank you! It certainly wasn't in a hurry to come off! Managed not to crack the shelf too, so all good

I left on the little plastic attachment that held the wheel and have attached his mineral stone to it (I know lots don't use them but thought I'd get him one anyway). Yodel delivered my Zooplus parcel today when I was at work so missed it! - there's a freestanding 8'' Trixie wheel in that
