Question How to convince my parents for a bin cage?

My mother says I can only get a 20 gallon for my hamster 'cause a bin cage is ugly.i need ways to convince her. My hamster is in 10 gallon under 360 square inches. By the way what are good Christmas gifts for hamsters?

Tell her that bin cages are far cheaper, simple to convert into hamster cages and really easy to customize. You can make them pretty with ribbon and washi tape and pretty things!

I'm not really sure what you define as good hamster gifts, but I'm sewing Puff a little stocking to hang up on Christmas eve and I'm sure Santa will fill it with hamstery presents like treats and new toys

Go online and find some truly amazing bin cage set ups that look amazing. Shouldn't be too hard. Plenty on this site, since its a DIY thing, you can make a cage that makes an aquarium look like a cheap shoebox.

Hamsters, so far as I know, have no clue about Christmas. Or to be fair, about Hannukah, Kwanza or any other holiday. Animals get into it because everyone spends the day behaving like puppies, tearing at wrapping and boxes. Things they usually yell at puppies for every other day of the year.
Hamsters do that everyday. Ziggy calls it a Capitalist Nightmare, for what its worth

By showing your mum the sites that have been provided, it shouldn't be about what the bin cage looks like, it's what's best for your hamster that matters and I'm sure that yourself, a dedicated owner will find fun ways to improve the look of the bin.

The mum's priority is the look, which is why the OP brought it up. My parents never cared about the best way to care for my pets, only the least troublesome to them A bin cage offers better options for ham and owner, while the DIY part of it means the Mom has a say in what the 'look' of the cage will be.....

My parents would have fallen in love with any bin that had an 'early american' furniture styling.....lots of wood tones....I could've kept a pet moray eel in the right bin design....
