Default Trying to locate Savic or Ferplast dealer in US

Hello,
I am new to this board but I have found a lot of good information here. I am having a really difficult time locating decent cages in the United States. Every site I read praises the Savic and Ferplast lines yet they seem to only be available in Europe. I have been unsuccessful in locating a shop that ships to the US. Does anyone have any information that may be helpful in obtaining one of these cages in the US? I really hate to have to settle for what is readily available here. My last resort will be to make my own yet I do not have a lot of time to build one right now.

Thank you,
Michael

Which of the cages is it your after? There are some decent alternatives to the Ferplast and Savic cages, such as some of the Superpet "rat" cages, and the Jack 72 cage.

My first choice is the Savic Hamster Heaven Metro. Next would be the Ferplast Duna Fun Maxi. The Peggy Metro De Luxe is also nice. I will have to take a closer look at the ones you suggest. If I remember the Jack 72 does not have any tube connections for expansion which is one of the options I would like to have as it will be for my daughter. I think the tubes will be fun for her to rearrange when we clean it. I was staying away from anything Superpet after looking at their Crittertrail line which is the most prevalent cage in my area. They are way too small and the tube connections seem like they are going to break anytime I attempt to remove them. They are not reviewed well by most either.

Thank you for the suggestions!

Some of the online pet stores in the UK will ship to the USA I have heard but for this size of cage it will likely be fairly expensive. Try some of the adverts on e-bay uk and look for people with the cage you want on sale. Try and go with the bigger shop style sellers and send them a message asking if they will ship to the USA. I hope you get some good responses. Maybe you should take a hamster cage holiday over here! You could take home some excess baggage

Thank you for the replies! I did contact Savic, they do not export to the US because of cost since their cages are not knock-down. I cannot find an email for Ferplast but I imagine the situation is the same.

Apparently it costs a mint to send something that size from Europe to here, yet not as much from here to there. Can't find a seller able to do it. =( I did end up buying a Jack 62, since they were on sale at a local shop and the Jack 72 is discontinued. I did find the 72 online but the shipping cost made it less of a deal for the upgrade from the 62. I emailed Marchioro to inquire about obtaining tube entrances like I see on the cages in the advertising that came with the Jack 62 but they aren't available in the US! Now I am on a mission to find something else to modify this thing with. *shrug* I have a couple ideas but I want it to be as clean as I can make it. A premade entrance would be the best. Anyone know where to obtain a tube entrance from a Marchioro Lux 3 or Trek? Or perhaps the Ferplast tube entrances in How to connect cages with tubes will work with Habitrail OVO tubes? I like the quality of the OVO tubes above all the others sold here and they are widely available.
