Default SoundProof Hide Away?

Hi,

I am new to these forums. I have been looking into getting a Syrian hamster for a pal. I am not worried about the noises my hamster would make, but i do listen to music from speakers in my room were the hamsters cage would be. The music is not blaring loud but it is not that quite either.

Basically i want to make a place in my hamsters home that she could go if it was too noisy for her. How would I do this?

I have no idea how noisy is 'too' noisy for a hamster but they do have particularly sensitive hearing. Could you just use headphones?

Hi & welcome to the forum
One person's idea of loud is different to anothers but as long as the volume is at a reasonable level & as you say not blaring out then it really shouldn't be a problem, hams are sensitive to noise but are more bothered by sudden noises than general background noise, they seem to sleep quite unbothered by things like vacuum cleaners & washing machines that I find loud so I really wouldn't worry too much.
