Default branches in cage?

Im after some type of branch for Squibbles, im just not sure what's safe and what's not.

Heres some links to the type of thing im after, although im not sure if theyre all safe. Does anyone know? Or does anyone have a link to any other types of branches they have, ive seen a few setups with them. Id like to purchase online.

I clicked on your links but could see no photos, 2littlepuds.

You can just take branches off an apple tree from the garden which are free and cut them to the size you require.

If you don't have an apple tree then you could ask around if there is a neighbour, friend or relative who has one unless you specifically prefer to buy something?

Apple twigs/branches are safe for hamsters. I have them in my hamster cages.

Trixie Sand-Blasted Branch: Free P&P on orders £29+ at zooplus!

I'm pretty sure this one is safe, but it is also quite big.

I'm not really sure, I think it depends on what wood is used for them, as I know some types of wood are dangerous for the hamsters. If the wood isn't a type of wood that is specifically dangerous for them then I don't see any problems as to why they wouldn't be okay . I like the idea of having branches in the cage, gives it more of a natural feel

Not sure why the links arent working, theyre going through fine for me.

That trixie branch looks very simple to one i were looking at on amazon.

Can apple tree branches go straight into the cage without any treatment, drying out etc?

Thanks. I really like the natural look. Squibbles has shown zero interest in any sort of hamster toys, he doesnt chew anything besides dog biscuits and the toilet roll tubes and cardboard boxes in his cage have been untouched for weeks.

The only thing he seems to like is digging and going through tunnels so im hoping to make the cage even more natural for him.

If it helps the links worked for me 2LittlePuds, although the photos were in the middle and they were very small. I like the natural look too, all three of my cages have rocks around the sand baths and I've gone crazy with lolly pop sticks sticking them on all of the boxes to make them look more "natural"

Well I'm lucky and there's a path near where I live and its all like grass and earth so I found a lot of rocks there, all relatively smooth and different sizes and shapes. However it took ages to clean them and disinfect them to get all the dirt and nasty stuff off them. I prefer some of the toys/accessories that are for sale for fish and reptiles, they look a lot nicer and more natural, I don't like the hamster toys that are made out of plastics and are brightly coloured, I think they look strange when you have lots of different materials and colours in your cage
