Flooring.
Hi There,
I was wondering what is the best thing to use to cover the base of the cage?
I obviously want it to be comfy and homley, and he/she will have a bed filled with bedding etc.
Any advice would be great
Jack x

Megazorb, or if you've not go the space to store a HUGE sack of megazorb, bob martins paper based cat litter.

Re: Flooring.
People have different preferences on bedding and you should go with what suits you and your hammies best. We use wood shavings for short haired hammies and Aubiose, which is a chipped straw type horse bedding for long hairs. They all have the chipped paper bedding like white loo roll for the nest box. Many people use Megazorb which is again a horse bedding. Carefresh is an alternative and is paper based.

Re: Flooring.
I use carefresh from pets at home, I really like it as it hides any unpleasent odors and the hamsters like to add it to their beds! I believe they have it on 3 for 2 at the moment as well. A little bit goes a long way though!

Some people don't like it, especially for longer haired hamsters, but I've used wood shavings for every hamster I've had (19 of them now) and had no problems. The woodshavings that you use for your rabbits should be fine. I use the same woodshavings for Jasper as I do for my rabbit.
