Re: Screech back in her large cage
I have the lights on but sometimes, Screech does not come out until I have gone to bed. But I have them on just incase.
She was out early last night so i had her out of her cage for a bit and gave her some cuddle time, even though she just likes to walk all over me. Then I put her in her ball for about 15 mins, until she has had enough.

Re: Screech back in her large cage
Did you say she had a sister that used to live with her?

Re: Screech back in her large cage
She did. Yes. When I first bought them, there was Screech and Sandy. I named them that because Screech screeched (and still does) and her sister was a sandy colour. They were getting on fine, sleeping with each other in the same house, eating at different times, just doing their thing, then Screech started to fight her sister. I didnt have a spare cage at the time and could not afford one as I had only just bought a large cage for them both to live in. People were saying they will be ok as they were sisters and were used to each other. I found out that is not always the case. They were starting to fight every time they saw each other. Luckily enough, a friend I know who has a couple of pets had a hamster cage and offered to take one of them. I knew she would be looked after and asked which one she wanted. She chose Sandy. She didnt like the idea of a hamster screeching and opted for the 'quiet one'. Hence I have Screech and I like to think I have done well as I thought she would not be hand tame and thought she would be an impossible hamster to get along with. lol. How wrong I was. I bribed her with dried mealworms and she started to eat out of my hand then come on to my hand and I started to take her out of the cage. Her sister already was doing this, but Screech wouldnt. On her own, she did. Now she is spoilt.
