Cage with tubes in.
Screech has not come out yet tonight. She comes out just as it is getting dark. I will see what she does, so I will have to put the light on which is near her cage.

I have bought some more off ebay. I bought some last week, but he 'ran out of stock' and I got a refund. I bought some more today. Two strips. I have to work out how and where I am going to attach them to the top of the cage lid so they light up most of it. I already have the connectors.
I read somewhere that hamsters cannot see red but it enables us to see them in the dark.
I also won a silent spinner on ebay today. £5.50. Not bad.

Wow. The cage looks amazing. £50 is actually not that much for a cage this size. Might get one like that in future. What sand are you using for the sand bath?

WOW!!! That cage is amazing!
How many square inches is it? If I had that much room, I would build a cage like that in a heart beat.

I think it is a real bargain. I dont think I could make on from scratch for the price I paid. New in the box, ready to build and a quick delivery.
The sand is bathing sand for chinchillas, mice, hamsters etc.

Re: Screech's new cage. pic heavy
I have taken the top shelf out and the cage looks a lot bigger. I dont know if I will put it back, but I am thinking of putting a woodcraft kit of tower bridge on the shelf that is in still. I think I am going to get a hammock for the cage.
I have just put some emery paper onto a ramp and glued it on with pva. I am waiting for it to set then change the ramp in the cage. It will act as two things. It should keep her nails trimmed and also help her get up the ramp without slipping.

Thanjks. Here is Screech and her new cage with lights on it. These will do until my red led's arrive. You can see her cage in the background.
The lights fitted (daytime).
Lights at night time
I think it looks nice. especially in a dark room. The tv is on next to the cage, but it does not light the cage up from the screen.
