im unsure about when to clean my hamsters cage. i normally give it a thorough clean with hot water and disinfectant every week. but some websites say that you clean the bedding once a week and give thorough clean every month! but wouldnt that stain and make your cage smell? i just wanted to know how you clean your cage
I clean my WW colonies every 2 weeks, as scent is important in keeping them together. Nesting material and damp bedding are changed weekly though. I think after a month it would be getting a bit ripe! Singles I do weekly.
