Also if you don't have a pet perks card get one (you can get one online) and link your online account to the mailing list and pet perks card.
I say this because you need a pet perks card to get the tank sale price, then you will definitely get the emails for the sale.

I found out by chance- had to stop by Petco, to pick up dog food. There were 4 or so people in line with aquariums. Went by the fish area, and saw the sale signs.

I totally thought there was a Petco in Canada but I can't find it now, and I have no idea if they offer the same sale...

I don't know why. I never saw the sale sign near the tanks when I got two from the previous sale. I just knew about it cause an associate told me over the phone beforehand.
