Small Pet Terrarium Kerry - Angry

I keep all 4 of my hammies in bin cages but for a while I'd been saving up to get theh Small Pet Terrarium Kerry from Zooplus to upgrade. They cost £69.99 so took a bit of saving but I don't see myself NOT keeping hamsters any time in the near future so seemed a decent investment.

So excited when it arrived today, room was rearranged and everything. But it arrived like this: Both of the end sides are shattered.

Gutted to say the least. Cut my hand open in several places as the glass was all over the place - it actually took me a minute to notice it was broken. Phoned customer services and they've asked me to send photos which I have.

I had a problem with Zooplus goods arriving damaged before when I ordered some chinchilla sand and to be fair they were very quick to replace it. Let's hope there's a positive result out of this. I'm surprised I was able to be so pleasant on the phone given my anger!!

Wow! That's a total mess! What a rotten thing to happen.

I hope your hand is okay. Didn't they have packaging stuffed in it? I do hope they replace it for you...and soon too.

I hope they replace this quickly and try to get to the bottom of why it was so badly damaged! Hope you're ok too!

The white stuff around it there is polystyrene but it was actually very thin so not enough to stop it being damaged. It was a big parcel so it was perhaps the couriers weren't careful enough with it. I'd also ordered a box of some little huts, treats and sand and they were actually better packaged than this was!

The hand will heal fine, thanks, just a bit of an inconvenience though walking around with band-aids all over it!

Ohh that's awful! That happened to me twice- ordering cages and waiting a while for them to show up and they were broken. Let them know you cut your hand!

Yeah, they're hard thing to have delivered but I thought with sufficient packaging and care it should be fine. Email is sent (including details of traumatic injury) so hoping I'll hear back soon. Have a lot of new toys to decorate the new cage with so could really do with it asap!

That is awful! Your parcel has obviously been thrown about. I ordered this same cage and it arrived in perfect condition so there was no reason for this to happen other than bad handling. I hope they sort it out asap!
