Default Quietest Wheels

Since I have my hamster cage in my bedroom it is quite important how quiet the wheel is and recently I have found my silent spinner making a lot of noise, so I would really appreciate it if people could tell me some of their favourite silent wheels and where I can buy them from
I have heard that wooden wheels are the quietest but then I am also interested in the flying saucers

We have one of them cages with all the tubes where you can keep adding bits, he has a wheel which is fixed outside the cage by a tube, it seems pretty quiet, but because he puts his food in it, it makes lots of noise, but when the cage is clean its quiet

We have three different wheels...silent spinner 12", trixie plastic 28cm and Wooden Karlie wonderland 29cm. The wooden wheel is the quietest by far. Silent in fact...you can only hear their feet. Just noticed they are £9.99 on amazon at the moment too.

I have all my hamsters in my room, and the either have silent spinners or flying saucers. All of which are quiet enough. With one of the flying saucers, I found it rattled a bit so I wrapped a little bit of tissue around the spindle and now it's quiet again

By far my quietest and longest lasting is the Trixie 28cm. In fact I'm waiting for it to wear out so I can try a Wodent wheel but no luck yet. Never tried a wooden wheel because I think it would be hard to keep clean. My Syrians didn't know what to do with the flying saucer. I tried putting peanut butter on it by my Syrians just kept falling off trying to get the peanut butter.

A good way to damp down noise is to make sure the wheel is standing of top of the bedding and not touching the cage base or attached to bars.

Red face Re: Quietest Wheels

I bought the pets at home cage and got the wheel with it. After a while the wheel had an unbearable squeaking noise. So I bought a flying saucer. Its pretty quiet although my hammie is a vigorous runner. So when he suddenly stops it keeps jolting and making a loud noise. I wish i could find a better wheel, does anyone have any suggestions. Also if your hamster isn't a strong exerciser this wheel would be great.
