Those are lovely - very renaissance! I think I would be a bit worried about the fabric seats though and whatever padding was under the fabric, in case they got chewed. I'm avoiding fabric things now after hammock being chewed a bit. I think Sylvanian families have all kinds of furniture - I saw a garden table and chairs in metal, but I suppose it depends what things are made of - they don't always say what kind of wood or what paint is used. I think I'll stick to plastic!

I looked at this one but I have no idea what it is made of - I assume plastic - also no idea how big or small they are but prob too small for a syrian. I do have the kerble red bench so maybe just need a table!

Yeah, the material used is a problem.. I see so many cute accessories that I'd love to get but resist as I'm not too sure how hamster friendly they would be. The sylvanian table and chairs are really sweet. You could even use some plastikote paint on them to match a theme

Wow that is fantastic! I had a look at these detolfs on the ikea page recently and can't work out how you get ventilation in them - I assume it takes some modding?

You can leave it with no lid or make one with mesh. You don't add the door it comes with when setting it up

Finally found this thread again! Love it!

Since my little guy have gotten a upgrade I figured a new post in this thread to showcase his new home would be nice

So the cage is an Ikea Hack, The Detolf + The kallax 2x4.

I found that the Lekman boxes they also sell at Ikea made for an exelent storrage place for big toys and houses, though they are not highly visible in the photo above.

Some pictures of how I have chosen to set up the cage:

As you can see I have no special type of design :P Besides his feeding station, which mainly is there for easy cleaning and monitoring. I just put his favorite Items in at random places and makes sure he is able to do those things I know he loves. Like tunnel in the carefresh, forrage for treats in the substrate, run on his silent spinner or flying saucer and bathe in his sand etc
