I'm really nervous about Willow escaping...
I don't know why; since I have moved from my family into a rented house, the landlord said I could have a hamster, but if it ever escapes and damages the house the costs are my problem...
Since then I just keep worrying! He has a massive IKEA samla bin cage, connected to a duna fun, so he has a LOT of space, he has a massive wheel which he loves, gets plenty of food, water, monkey nuts etc...
He has never been much of a chewer either.
Can someone put my mind at ease?
Thanks :P

Dont worry, if you hammie get loose it will probably just run around and maybe nibble on the wooden stuff in your house. The landlord is quite good if he can notice a cupple of gnaws of the decorative molding at the floor And if your cage is secure then it really is nothing to worry about ^_^

Hahah my landlord has yet to find the massive two giant holes my escaped hammy put in the divan bed! And then theres the little nibbles on my sofa and some plaster out the wall...BUT...the cage door was left open. So long as your little one is watched and everything you should be ok. Make notes of any damage when you moved in with pictures, chill xxx

That last bit is really important! It saved me from having to pay massive injuries on a appartment I rented that the previous renter had made... I lived 1 year with black mold in the bedroom, mice, larva in the walls becaus of dead mice, and a major water leacage on the bathroom ceeling, and some punchmarks on the walls... All that was I supposed to pay for! But since ive documented it the day I moved inn I did not have to

They gave us an inventory list where you put injuries the house has, as well as taking pictures

Then you should have nothing to worry about ^_^ Just keep her under observation when out and keep her bin secure
