Default Ordered the Alaska

I have ordered the Alaska and should be arriving this week. I would like to know peoples experiences with the cage and delivering, and how easy it is to put together.

I would also like to see pictures of peoples set up's of the cage please

I haven't got a photo of my set-up unfortunately as my camera isn't working right now but we bought the Alaska a week or two ago. We ordered it on a wednesday night, quite late and it arrived the next monday. We missed the delivery but they tried again the same day and we got it. The package is HUGE The cage is a really great size but hard to put together. We had to line up the clips and flip it on it's end, we then put a foot on the bottom bars and pulled up as hard as we could to slot it in. I know a lot of people use pliers.

It's great once it's up though. Just be careful when you get it though as I know a few people have found bars not welded properly, I think the company treated them really well though and they got a replacement for free that was fine. We didn't have that problem, though a few of the bars did seem slightly bent and a little weak. Our little one hasn't managed to move them though. The shelf, igloo and ramp can be a bit difficult to pop into the right place but it's a really great cage when it's finally done.

I used pliers with mine to close all the clips and my dad had to help me open it out as one side got stuck but it was fine and once that bit was sorted it took me about 20 minutes to put it together
Delivery took a while but it was when we had that freaky weather over Easter and we had the bank holiday but everything was fine and if it does arrive damaged (mine didn't) Zooplus are really good for sorting it out
Here's a picture of my set up at the moment:

Thank you I did over order on toys and couldn't fit them all in but I'm in the process of upgrading my hammie cages. My Robo had a ZooZone 1 (70x40cm) and now has a ZooZone 2 (100x50cm cage) and my other Syrian originally had that Alaska but now has an Alexander (101x52.5cm) My newest Syrian has the Alaska but will be getting an Alexander in September.
The Alaska is a great cage though with plenty of room and, as you can see, you can fit loads of stuff in plus it's a bargain for the price really.
One piece of advice I'd give is to put the shelf in before you clip the bars to the base otherwise it's a bit awkward

I was one of the people that had a broken alaska delivered, i thought there was going to be a problem returning it but nope.
Zoo plus was great, i rang them and they sent me out another Alaska and the faulty one was picked up at a day and time i specified.
I really couldnt fault their customer service, it was brilliant
(considering i work in customer service)

I had a missing bar and got a full refund and got to keep the cage. DH managed to fix it and now Ash lives in there. It's a nice cage and a great price

I got mine last week or so very happy with it! Bigger than I expected even after measuring it out. Silly me! The only thing I dislike is the shelf in it which moves slightly so i'm going to replace it with a wooden one I think

Its a great cage, my only problem is my Moo is a bar chewer so she's now in a zz2.
And it has calmed her alot, she is now content to be snuggled.
So i have an empty alaska
