Question Should I buy a cage?

I currently have my syrian in a tank, she can not have any hanging things because she tries to escape and chew the mesh top. When I had her in a wire cage when she was little she chewed the bars, I am thinking it was because she was bored.
Well in the tank she is constantly trying to chew the silicone around the edges and just spends hours trying to dig out of the tank.

If I bought her a large wire cage and loaded it with toys, hanging things, hammocks etc do you think she will still try to just chew the bars to get out?

I want to make her happier but I dont want to waste money if she is just going to chew constantly !!

What should I do?

Obvoisly cant as for sure, but my guess is that she might. I had a Syrian a few years back, that was an amazing escape artist and despite having plenty of time out of his cage, would try and escape as soon as he went back in his cage, this just developed in to manic bar chewing around the cage doors. : /

What about something like a zoozone? You think she'd manage to chew that?

She has a digging area but she just goes down to the bottom of the tank and continues to chew the corners

Thanks _nod. Seems like I will have to think of something else

I love willow to bits but going to stick to dwarfs in the future

I would leave her where she is. Some do constantly seem to try and dig their way out. Although I still think females tend to be more energetic!
Biscuit does bar chew, but not constantly

I found peanut butter has helped a lot with stopping my ham trying to dig out and chew his bars so much, though use it sparingly of course! But his edible log has now actually been eaten a bit. There's bits of peanut butter on everything I could viably put it on! And he has little carriable shapes which he seems to have a go at now and again.

I think ours does it for attention though, because he will do it for say 10-15 minutes and as soon as you go up to him he stops, same if you say his name he will stop then too, it's really cute.
