what do you think?
Ii went into the garage today and found a few old kitchen units in bits now( been there for years) the thing was there was lots of drawer sliders on them. Dou you think it would be a good idea to have a sliding shelf so when I want to get a ham out of say a gabber I can pull the shelf forward for easy acess what do you think?

Make sure you clean them well in case they have been in contact with mice in the garage as they can spread diseases to hamsters.

Re: what do you think?
Soap doesn't have any anti-bacterial or disinfectant qualities - I would use a mild bleach solution sprayed on

Sounds good to me. But just make sure it has been disinfected. Good luck!

Re: what do you think?
yeah I was going to do this with my shelves that I made, but it's hard to find really long ones.though you can't take them off if you have any problems. just bear that in mind.

Re: what do you think?
I think that's a brilliant idea because right now I have to take all my cages off their shelves to do the food and water not to mention get the little monkeys out so sliding shelves would be faberoony

Re: what do you think?
Sliding shelves nice idea. We have some in the garage with heatingand lighting in there a door access via utility they get to see people and see life we always make sure of that we go in there get them out talk to them. Dandy man (mouse) and infront is another hammy and then 3 in the front room. Our shelving unit is fixed above the rabbits and guinea-pig cages and we have another being fitted probably tommorow or saturday the otherside. Having sliding shelves definatly better idea.
