!!! Do not use a cage like this !!!!
I got this cage thinking it would be amazing for my Syrian however it was smaller than it looked and he has escaped from it within a week
Just warning people so you don't have to go through the same thing I have had to.
I would advise sticking to a basic plastic cage with only wiring at the top where they can't reach.
They may be small but they are strong creatures when they want to be!!!

I am sorry your little hammy has be a little escapee, O I have looked at these cages before but have been put off my the fact they crack very easily. Ilike the cambridge and zoozoone type cages.

I thought it would of been fun because it had so many levels and tubes, i wasn't exactly impressed with the quality when it arrived but i thought id give it a try anyway, never making this mistake again! x

Re: !!! Do not use a cage like this !!!!
My hamster went missing for a few days I left her cage in the middle of the floor with her food in it when she got hungry she found her way back to her cage. try to keep the room contained by keeping doors shut.

Re: !!! Do not use a cage like this !!!!
Fortunately that sort of cage isn't something we'd be likely to see reccomended by anyone here anyway. Most of us reccomend cages that are an absolute minimum of 70cm by 40cm floor space, or better yet - 80cm by 50cm or bigger.
I am sorry you had such a bad experience with the cage though and I hope your ham returns home soon.

Re: !!! Do not use a cage like this !!!!
As silly as it sounds I genuinely thought it was bigger due to the pictures, but in future I will really look more into the cages that I get especially from online.
In regards to the hamster, I hope he comes back soon!
I heard that rat cages were pretty good for syrians
Thank you all x

Re: !!! Do not use a cage like this !!!!
rat cages r a good size for syrians they can be a little high you could get round this by lots of hammocks or by cutting the cage wires down a bit, ideal hight for syrian hamster cage is 50cm a rat cage is about 80cm high.
