Default Yippee! I have two new Gabber Luxes!

Courtesy of a great tip-off from sarahh, I travelled to a garden centre in Ashford this afternoon (120 mile round trip) and found the best selection of hamster stuff I've ever seen in one place. How happy am I?!!!

I bought them out of Gabber Luxes and stocked up on hamster toys - and of course, chinchilla sand!

So, its moving night in Casa ELC. Monte and Rumsey are being separated - they had a bit of spat over whose turn it was to go in the hamster potty yesterday and it got a little unpleasant so I think its time to split them. They're both ready for their own wheels now anyway - as that's another source of occasional conflict.

My little WW rescue girl Snowdrop is moving out of her Rex (which she doesn't like - I think its just too big for her to feel comfortable) and into a Lux, so Monte/Rumsey will take her Gabber.

My P@H "in the wars rescue " WW boy Hoff is moving out of the emergency bin into a Lux, and my two husky robos Are and Snorre are moving out out the second emergency bin into a Mini Duna.

All my Syrians (except long time resident Custard) have new toys so its going to be quite a night!! I feel exhausted just thinking about it.

Isn't it lovely when you find somewhere great and have a good old stock up with new items. We trawl garden centres and pet shops for new stuff. Our garden centre had a stock of rexes for a while but they have gone now. Hope you hammies enjoy their new stuff.

HI ELC no worries hun anytime. Glad you mamanged to get everything you needed. It is good in there. I went in there today to hehe. Didn't buy anything though just looked wanted to get some Harry hamster they didn't have any. I won't buy animals in their anymore though as alot I had from their all except from one got tumurs and had to be put to sleep and I'm not going through that again. Was thinking about toys for Mya she already has a hammock toy I wish I'd got it there now instead of ordering it. The petshop is alot easier to get to them the town its a nightmare a ring road the was 2 way is now back to one way round one but and 2 way the other bits. I do love getting new hammy stuff I think I get more excited at the purchase then the hamsters does . Sounds like your gonna have some very lucky hamsters and their new Lux's. I do like the Duna's they are nice. You definatly did well with all that lot.

Well done you

Sarah x

Well I do hope you also stocked up on the hamster essentials too, as well as the toys ELC
-mineral water (branded) served at room temperature
-asparagus (tips only, and only the best range)
-18ct gold food dishes with names inscribed (Tiffany give you a discount for bulk buys, but Cartier ones are nice too)
-hamster mix (with all the black bits personally removed by a dozen men wearing loincloths and chanting hamster poetry whilst doing it)

Okay, maybe you don't go that far, but spoiled? Your guys??

Sounds like your day was much more fun that mine (uggh work)

I must admit that the hamsters in there looked very sickly. Not in the least bit healthy which is very sad.

I'm shattered now...I've moved everyone except Monte/Rumsey. They seem to be quite happy together today. I want to let them run on together as long as possible so its difficult to know how long to leave them together. But at least there's a Gabber available now. And two emergency bins! Shame my floor is covered in hamster cages but I guess its less carpet to hoover. (although the cleaner does it, not me!). All the hams seem very happy with their new cages. Phew! All that's left now is to play with Monte and Rumsey, retrieve Poppy and Snowdrop from their balls and I can finally have a sit down!!!

Spud's Mum - btw, my hams drink Volvic (or Vittel at a push)....it has the best mineral content according to the Food Doctor. Their mummy prefers red wine and a large vat of margarita!

Have you drank London tap water?? I think not! Filtered water is the minimum. As a Thames rower, I know far too much about the water in our lovely capital city to put it unadulterated in my mouth...and if I won't drink it, I don't expect my hams too either!
