Default Carry homes

Whats the best carry home/ cage for hamsters on a long trip?

when I pick up my robos I will be using a rotastak home and away, but if theys a better one I would try and get that.

it'll be 4-5hours on the train on the way back.

Most people like the "pawprint" carriers.. http://www.petspantry.tv/acatalog/small ... riers.html

I have them they are a lot better than the rotastack home and away when it is a journey that long of 4/5 hours. It provides more space, security and gives more cover.

Most show exhibitors use Hagens for their transporting of sales animals etc - the Northern gives them away with baby hamsters too.

They are plastic tanks of various sizes with a ventillated lid and carrying handle. I've tried to find a link but can't

This is the ferplast version of what Holly is describing. They came in a few different sizes. I have the small one, which is ideal for one syrian and a larger one which will hold 2 or 3 baby syrians.

There seem to be some other good carriers on the website too. I have used this company and always get very quick delivery.

do you think that they will all be ok for robos? and does everything stay in play properly?

I do quiet like the one with paw prints on. anyone bought off them before?

Oh well done, Basia

There are also very large versions of this carrier - about 50cm by 30cm I would think - bigger than some cages.

i use hagens for long distances, too, because you can velcro a water bottle on and leave it there for them while you're in a service station or soemthing
