Default Hamstery set-ups

I thought i'd post some pics of my "hamstery" set-up and other could do the same if they wished. we've got a thread for cage pics, but i mean more like actual shelving units and stuff. Mine's not really what you could call a hamstery, but still!

ok this is the shelving unit. The bottom shelf is Oscar, next shelf up is Skye and Chiddy, next shelf up is Harvey, top shelf is Max and Paddy and on top of Paddy is Orchid's cage waiting. To the left of the shelving unit is Ruby.

This is our "dining" table. we eat our teas on our laps incase you're wondering

On the left is Jake and on the right, starting at the bottom is Humphrey, then on top of him is Pebble then on top of her is Bailey. i had to move Pebs out of the 2-level imac cos she was too old to climb the tubes, but i still wanted her to have a layer.

This is the "living" area of the room. On the coffee table in the red gabber is Hannah and underneath is George. In the foreground at the bottom is the spare cage for when Paddy and Orchid move in together. above that is Jake's old gabber and on top of that is Apple waiting to be cleaned. He doesn't normally live there!

Those spare cages are gonna be paked away in the garage soon. oh and don't worry about that wire level, it's going in the recycling!

This is our beautiful neat and tidy area. isn't it lovely having patio doors to step out into the garden

in the Lux we have Splodge on a rolling trolly and underneath him is a heap of ham toys for the raffle at Willington/Lymm and some bedding/carry case/sand etc. To the bottom left corner is finacard (megazorb is under the dining table). top left is carefresh sitting on top of a set of draws full of ham bedding/toys/food/coffins etc. Behind the trolley is a blue & yellow box of sand. we buy it in bulk and fill up the bottle because it's miles cheaper. Next to that, which you can't see, is the 15kg bag of Harry ham food. oh, those balls are just there drying.

This is Fern, in my room on a dining chair in front of my draws (note that my room is not big!)

and this is where Apple normally sits in my room, on top of that green & pink box.

if you're thinking how do i get in my draws and wardrobe, well i don't. I carefully took the pics so you can't see the heaps of rubbish on the floor. The draws and wardrobe only have too small clothes in anyway from the time i went to slimming world and lost 4st, bought loads of clothes and then put the weight back on

Anyway, that's my "hamstery"

p.s. a prize to the people who can spot the 2 cages with the wrong names on

I love looking at other people's set-ups

Here's mine as it is now (it will soon be changing a lot as I'm getting more of the Big Dug shelf units to take more Gabbers and I'm removing one or two of the shelves from the wooden unit in the hall for easier access to the cages there):

Ooo, I love seeing other people's set ups too.

I'll just take some photos and upload them, then I can put them on here!

As you can see a lot of the shelves are empty at the moment, with a few empty cages too and we also got a new set of shelves the other day too:

i really like those shelves with the blue gabbers on and the dunas on. they actually look like proper furniture rather than our greenhouse in the living room!

how come you hav the gabber grills upside down, is there a special reason?

I'm guessing that you won't need to pull the cages out to open them, like that?

ive taken some piccies and just uploading them to photobucket.

Waw, im amazed by all the cages! I only have 6 cages and a fish tank in my room and my friends think i live in a zoo

Mollz i think i have similar shelves to your new ones. They are great, mine fit nicely in one of the alcoves in my bedroom. Only problem is mine only fit the cambridge and gabber on the top shelves.

I showed my OH the pics and hes told me not to get any ideas

It was originally so that we could slide the whole grill off, but we can no longer do that due to trying to prevent bar chewing!

Those shelves were very cheap (£7 for the small ones and £14 for the larger ones) in an offer in Homebase - we haven't been able to find them again since
