Bowls for dwarfs
Bit of a strange question, but, which bowls do you use for your dwarfies? Mine don't seem to be able to reach the bottom of the bowls that they have. They either have the brown clay ones, or the plastic ones like this .
Any ideas on other bowls to use?

thats a good question - i sometimes use bowls that are big enough for them to get or just scatter food and use their bowls for treats
ive also used half a coconut for some of them

i just use the normal ceramic ones, but you can get really shallow ones from some pet shops that have pictures of orangey hams on. they are ceramic with really low sides. i use them for putting extras in for sick or young hams.

I normally scatter the food amongst their bedding and let them forage as this is what they would do in the wild. I also scatter oats among the shavings as well to give them something to do

Oh ETA: i usually do scatter feed them, but i want something to put their wet foods in, as they keep falling into their foods and getting covered in it

I agree with you that this is a good method - though by 'bedding' do you mean 'wood shavings/floor covering'? Tieing food to things so they have to gnaw their way through string to release them is also another method.
But fresh food, we always left in one particular place. It was the treats and dry food that we used to play with.

At the moment I only have syrians (but this applied when I had my campbells too) but anyway. I just put the regular dry hamster mix in a pile on the floor, it encourages the hamsters to forage and they don't care. However, for dwarf's 'fresh' food I just used a regular ceramic bowl and it was fine for them.

I think dwarfs really love having the food scattered around the cage. They spend ages systematically sifting through the bedding and extracting the goodies. We always scatter feed ours though we put wet stuff like porridge in dolls tea plates or pringle lids!!
