Default Savic Cambridge Bonanza!

OK so I'm showing off a bit here but I can't resist sharing this.

Those of you who were at Gatcombe on Saturday might know that I bought the second hand Cambridge on the sales table for Will's birthday (it was just what he wanted, even the right colour - red!).

I really like the Cambridge for hamsters (usually the boys, in my experience) who don't bar chew too much but, at forty quid a time, I've been going for Gabbers lately.

Anyway I spotted this on ebay on Sunday:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... :IT&ih=005

I've got the red one in the listing and the other one (blue), both brand new with starter kits, for forty quid the pair. Even better, I was collecting (it's about forty-five minutes from me) but the lovely seller is travelling up the motorway tomorrow for a meeting - so he's delivering them!

So I basiacally have two new Cambridges at half price

Hi Holly thats brilliant news on the Cambridges and at a good price too glad the seller is going to bring them to you excellent. I must say I like them aswell I always go for the Peggy cages because they are cheaper. Kumi at the mo is in a 3 tier cage but I am swapping him I bought him a Peggy cage last week but he likes sleeping up high so will use the peggy for one of the baby hams we are keeping so I bought Kumi a Cambridge today yes it cost me £42 from Pets@home but it was worth it as I know Kumi will be happy in it and I will put his house on the top level. They are really nice nice cages. Maybe one day when we just have 2 hams I will have a hamster heaven but they are way too big with having 11 hams now.

My Cambridges arrived this morning - they are perfect

I felt a bit sorry for the bloke though - his children's rabbit died and they wanted to get two hamsters so their grandparents bought them the cages for easter. In the end they decided to stick to rabbits which is the pet they've always had but unfortunately the grandparents had lost the receipt for the cages and P@H wouldn't give them an exchange. Their loss is my gain but the cages are quite obviously unused and gleaming with labels attached, don't suppose they'll be going back to P@H again in a hurry.

They've got different bottles so I think Savic have changed them - the others are a bit leaky I always found.

Hi Holly thats brilliant news new cages got for a good price well done you and still with the labels attached aswell. Maybe it was best that they stuck to rabbits having never had hamsters before. Thats naughty that P@H wouldn't give them an exchange I thought they had to like with any store whether it be clothes/petshops or supermarkets. Still their loss is your gain.

What bottles does your Cambridges have? I bought a new Cambridge yesturday and the bottle is white with biba small animal drinking bottle on it with a green lid and metal spout also comes with a green bottle hold that you put on the cage.

what a shame for them. good for you, but you can't help feeling awful. i collected a gabber that was used but not very much, because the hamster had just dropped dead not long after they got it and they didn't want another because they were too upset
