I have never heard of problems with coloured balls, i use a green one and a pink one and all of my dwarfs love them.

I'm sure the coloured ones would be fine ELC

Unless anyone else knows any different??

What size does it need to be for dwarves? They have a few on Ebay, but i'm not sure if they are too large. They are 7" diameter.

i've got clear from a local pet shop. They are ok with light green, light pink etc. but not dark green or dark blue. the clearer the better

Am I being too picky?!

My dwarf balls are about 5"....I find that my smaller hams struggle to move the bigger ones. I already have pink and yellow ones but I read recently that clear ones are better as the hamster can see more easily. Saying that, my Syrian has a clear one and he still tends to ram everything (although he's getting better!)

I looked on Ebay but I couldn't see any clear ones that were the right size - but I'll keep trying.

Grr. Is it really too much to ask?!

I have to go to P@H this afternoon to get some shavings so I'll have a look again there but they always seem to have coloured ones. Must try to keep away from the adoption section!

I wish! My Winter Whites refuse to move in a Syrian ball but they're like little tornados (hard to believe I know!) when they get in the dwarf balls.

I don't have a Wilkinsons anywhere near me....not happy!
